Bespoke publishing for brands and institutions
Four Eyes designs and produces exacting books commissioned by artists, institutions and brands. We take a project from the first flat plan to the launch party: editorial direction, art direction, manufacturing, deluxe editions, exceptional objects, financing, events.

Justice
Etendard Management, tour production · 2025-2026 · 232 pages · 27 × 27 cm · cloth-covered hardback · Magno Volume 130 g · printed by L'Artiere, Italy · 80 signed and numbered copies · 12 weeks from green light to delivery.
André Alves followed Justice — Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay — for two years, at the heart of their world tour. We came in from 15 October 2025 alongside the team around the band to handle art direction, sequencing, consultancy, technical specification and production management in Italy. Delivered on 7 January 2026. Eighty copies, given as a surprise to the band and the production company. The book carries an aesthetic true to the world of Justice: black, elegant, radical.

Magnum Chronicles
Magnum Photos · 2024-2025 · 128 pages · 22 × 28.5 cm · bound · Garda Recycled 80 g · printed by L'Artiere, Italy · 2,000 copies · 47 collectors committed · funding closed at more than 100% before printing.
The first annual publication “made in Magnum”: a complete engagement covering editorial design, consultancy, technical support and the creation of the project's architecture. We built the title's business model before going to press — materials and manufacturing partnerships negotiated with L'Artiere and Garda, and an edition intended for members of the Magnum Collector Cooperative: the DMCC25, an object created in collaboration with Gueule de Bois design and taken up by forty-seven collectors committed at €1,500 a copy, covering more than 100% of the budget before printing. This first issue, “US”, deals with the effects of American foreign policy: archive images by the agency's photographers, substantial texts, and two major chapters by Paolo Pellegrin (Ukraine) and Alessandra Sanguinetti (Palestine). Issue no. 002 was published in 2026.

Par la force des choses
Alexandre Lenoir · 2026 · 2,000 copies · exceptional manufacture of a deluxe edition of 100 unique copies · 69 collector's editions pre-sold in 1 month to finance the project · event support · distribution in France, the United States and China · 7 months.
Commissioned by the artist for his exhibition at the Musée de l'Orangerie (24 March – 24 August 2026), the book extends the work rather than documenting it. First conversation in October, delivery in May, on a highly demanding production schedule. The project called on a wide range of specialist skills and on teams working on the artistic dimensions of the book, on the photographs it contains, on fine craftsmanship, on photo and video shoots, and on a very particular launch event held in the artist's studio. We also introduced the artist to the finest Parisian workshops — developing, printing, lithography, fine-art printing. The deluxe edition rests on a manufacturing process without equivalent: one hundred copies made “par la force des choses”.

Impressionism
Jonathan Bertin · 2024 · two years of production · deluxe editions in limited print runs · creation of an original fragrance · cinema launch and exhibition.
Marking 150 years of the Impressionist movement, Jonathan Bertin worked for two years between Paris and Normandy, where he is from and where the movement began. We organised a week-long artistic residency in Castiglione (Puglia, Italy). The Italian chef Giulia Baglivo cooked for the team throughout the working week. We devoted six months to preparing the launch of the project. Production oversight with the artist in Bologna. Filming of a documentary, launch of the book at an event at the MK2 François-Mitterrand cinema, 860 pre-sales in 1 month. Creation of the fragrance “Jardin en bord de mer” (Garden by the Sea) and of an original design for the collector's edition of the book. Introductions to the Homecoming gallery (Amsterdam) and the staging of an exhibition in Amsterdam. Project follow-up with the press agents at 2e Bureau.

Cosmopolite
Fabien Ecochard · 2024 · 96 pages · 20.5 × 25.2 cm · Garda Art Matt 150 g · sewn 8-page sections, headband and tailband · 1,400 copies · 12 months · 40% of the budget raised in a single evening.
A deluxe edition for collectors, and a unique copy hand-lettered in Indian ink for the project's principal patron. For Cosmopolite, a book of photographs of Paris, we spent a week in residency with the artist to define the object, handled art direction and the technical specification, then financed the project: a unique copy hand-lettered in Mandarin for the CEO of Xiaomi, and a fundraising evening with Leica at the Village Royal in Paris. Forty guests, 40% of the book's budget covered in a single evening.

Yearbook
Nation Photo · annual editorial partnership · publications with individually unique covers, devoted to film photography.
For several years Four Eyes has worked with Nation Photo on the design and production of its annual publications. A steady collaboration that gives value to analogue practice through demanding yet accessible editorial objects. We build the editorial line of each yearbook with the laboratory's teams, select images from its community and draw a coherent narrative from them, design the layout and follow manufacturing through to quality control. The editorial framework is conceived so that the laboratory's community contributes to the book itself - every contributor sees their photograph on the cover - and is extended each year by the Journée de l'Argentique.

Intangible
Jérémy Veron · 2025 · four years of shooting · foreword by Alain Ducasse, text by Manon Fleury · special edition of 80 copies, collector's box set of 15 copies · supported by CNAP, Région du Tarn, Ville d'Albi.
The art book as a means of expression and of showcasing craftsmanship. Intangible is the name of the restaurant opened in the Tarn by Emma Destruel and Antoine Sallier, both formerly of the Alain Ducasse houses, whom Jérémy Veron followed for four years. A residency at the château with the chefs and the photographer, interview and video shoot, co-writing of the texts. Writing the applications and securing institutional support, helping to organise the launch reception at the château de la Bousquétarié and then a culinary event in Marseille, and producing a film with the company SLASHER. The collector's box set holds the numbered book, two signed prints and fragments of the château in apothecary vials — a herbarium from the kitchen garden, earth and stone, seeds to plant, chilli ferments prepared by the chefs.

Method
Every project is bespoke.
The first scoping session is free: one hour to understand the object, the occasion and the constraints. The budget is set afterwards.
Timelines run from three months for a very urgent project, printing and delivery included, to two years when financing is part of the work. There is no minimum print run: we produce a single unique copy as readily as a run of several thousand — the larger the run, the greater both the profitability created and the creative room to manoeuvre.
We work on demanding printed objects: books, deluxe editions, exceptional pieces, and everything around them — financing, events, distribution.
