“Twenty years of photographs of a seaside resort in transformation” — La Voix du Nord (2026)
STELLA is a photographic and filmic project concerned with the world of seaside resorts. It is also the name of a town where Anne-Charlotte Moulard lived all her life, all year round, in a place conceived and created for passing visitors.
Developed over a period of twenty years, the project seeks to bring out this tension between rootedness and disappearance, between intimate memory and the collective account of a territory in transformation.
Anne-Charlotte Moulard is a visual artist and film director. She has developed a hybrid practice at the crossroads of photography, film and documentary narrative. Her work explores the way images shape our perception of reality and of time.
Trained between Paris and London, she has made several award-winning films and has exhibited her series in France and internationally. Each of her projects is an attempt to inhabit images differently: as a space of passage, of narrative and of sensibility.
