“I have always been drawn to people who feel like portals. People whose presence makes reality a little wider.”
Cecilia Diaz
“Our Midnight Rituals” is a tribute to sisterhood and to feminine mysticism.
Cecilia Diaz’s first book brings together images with a surreal, ghostly atmosphere, all shot on film, texts taken from her notebooks and a foreword by the Argentine photographer Iara Kremer — in Spanish and English.
It is a love letter to the women Cecilia followed with her camera, to the moments they spent together and to the invisible threads that keep drawing them back to one another.

A book funded by those who want it
Subscription is an old habit of the book trade. In the eighteenth century, no costly work was published without first gathering a list of subscribers: readers who paid in advance, and whose names often appeared at the front of the volume.
This is how Alexander Pope’s translation of the Iliad came out, and later Diderot and d’Alembert’s Encyclopédie. Nothing has changed since. A demanding photobook — fine paper, hot-foil stamping, gilded edges, a short print run — costs a great deal to make long before it earns anything. No publisher our size can advance that sum alone without giving something up: the paper, the page count, the binding. Or sometimes even the book itself.
By subscribing to Our Midnight Rituals, you are not making a donation. You are buying the book before it exists, at the subscription price — and you decide that it will exist.
