Stray dogs
STRAY DOGS is a study of ferality (the wild state after having been domesticated) through the particular case of dogs in the Atlas Mountains (Morocco). A monochrome, silent and poetic tale.
FLORIAN SONG NGUYEN - “ I started thinking about the first abandoned dog, the first one to lose its usefulness. Rejected by the human world, but magnetized by it. Stories of margins and contours. Lives floating between things. (...) Worlds within worlds. Spheres that touch, that cohabit. I used to set them up in the forest of my symbols. I wanted to plunge into their world to discover its magnitude. So that night, the moon, like an immense yellow disk, rose from behind the mountains. Their footsteps crushed my thoughts, tightening the knot in my chest a little more each time. The red mountains had paved the way, and the ground beneath my feet had gone soft. I had let myself be swallowed. ”
