Impressionism — Collector's edition

Limited to 47 copies

For this collector’s edition of “Impressionism” by Jonathan Bertin, forty-seven bespoke cases were made in Bologna, Italy.

Each case holds a plexiglass frame engraved with the Four Eyes logo and a numbered, signed copy of “Impressionism” in its midnight blue velvet binding. On every book in this edition, a fine art print of the photographer’s partner — Charlie Danger — has been hand-mounted by the artist.

A signed 20 × 25 cm print is fixed to a plate on the back of the book. A 30 ml bottle of perfume comes with the volume: “Jardin en bord de mer”, conceived by the photographer and made by Margaux Le Paih Guerin of the Flair Paris studio.

A dried flower, a pair of white gloves and a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist complete this original set.

IMPRESSIONISM — For the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, Jonathan Bertin worked for two years between Paris and Normandy, his birthplace and the cradle of the movement, photographing the places of his daily life: ordinary scenes, society scenes, chalk cliffs and the fast water of the Côte d’Albâtre. A collection of delicate images, a book of unusual materiality, and above all a tribute.

JONATHAN BERTIN comes from Normandy and lives in Paris. Author of a first book (New York — Quest), he presents this new work on a French tour through 12 cities, followed by major exhibitions in Normandy at the Abbatiale de Rouen and in Amsterdam with the Homecoming Gallery.
