I am not your Animal

I AM NOT YOUR ANIMAL is a gentle, optimistic illustration of the resilience, strength and sisterhood of women who left Sierra Leone and were enslaved in Lebanon.

ALINE DESCHAMPS is a Franco-Thai documentary photographer. She grew up in both countries, and has been lucky enough to travel from an early age. In high school, she became a Unicef Young Ambassador and exhibited her first photographic series as part of the 20th anniversary of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. Since then, Aline has been convinced that images help to deconstruct stereotypical representations and are a vehicle for social change.
