I AM NOT YOUR ANIMAL gives a gentle, hopeful account of the resilience, the strength to live and the sisterhood of women who left Sierra Leone and were reduced to slavery in Lebanon.
ALINE DESCHAMPS is a French-Thai documentary photographer. She grew up in both countries and had the good fortune to travel from a very young age. While still at school she became a Unicef Young Ambassador and exhibited her first photographic series for the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Since then, Aline has been convinced that images can dismantle stereotyped representations and that they are a vehicle for social change.
