    Born in Gaza is a visual archive conceived by the photographer Olga Stefatou, in collaboration with Yousef Shurrab, an 18-year-old Palestinian who fled Gaza after several months of war.

    The book invites us to listen to a single voice, that of Yousef, through which the themes of childhood and war resonate.

    Olga Stefatou is a Greek visual artist and photographer based in Athens. Her work combines documentary photography, performance and self-portraiture. Exhibited internationally (Aga Khan Museum, Benaki Museum, Los Angeles Month of Photography…), she has worked with Der Spiegel, The Economist and Vanity Fair, and was nominated for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2024.
