ALFRED'S JOURNEY retraces that journey, from his very first image in Tehran in 1978 through to 2023 and the conflict in Ukraine. In between, the eventful life of a photographer criss-crossing the planet to the rhythm of its upheavals, from the harshest theatres of war to joyful uprisings. The book contains 276 images, 8 exclusive texts in English and French written by Alfred, and a 30-page caption booklet printed on 45 gsm Bible paper.
ALFRED YAGHOBZADEH A member of the Gamma, Sygma, Sipa and Associated Press agencies, his photographs were published throughout his life in magazines such as Time, Figaro Magazine, Newsweek, Stern, Paris Match, El Pais and Geo; in 1986 he received a World Press Photo award for his coverage of the war in Lebanon. This book is supported by the Bourse SAIF / Benoît Schaeffer pour l'édition photographique, which encourages the making of a monograph by a professional photographer.
