Offside

OFFSIDE is the chapter of a large project on the suburbs and the department of 93 commissioned by the National Library of France (BnF), Offside is a breath, a joyful project which documents the fervor of the supporters of the CAN (African Cup of Nations) of Aulnay-sous-Bois.

WILLIAM KEO was born in 1996 into a family of Cambodian refugees in France. William Keo focuses on the themes of migration, social exclusion, and intercommunity intolerance. He began photography working for NGOs and has covered the Syrian refugee crisis, the conflict in Darfur, migrants in Europe, and the Rohingya humanitarian crisis. Since 2019, he has covered the cycles of violence following the fall of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, as well as French and international news for the press, such as the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Israel, and Palestine, among others. He is represented by Magnum Photos between 2021 and 2024.
