He photographs the construction sites, the seawalls, the land left fallow, and what grows around them. \u003cem\u003eCoastal Motifs\u003c\/em\u003e examines how, in the name of safety and control, the coastline and the relationship to the sea have been profoundly redrawn.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTadashi Ono\u003c\/strong\u003e was born in Tokyo. He studied ecology and botany at Shinshu University before graduating from the École nationale supérieure de la photographie in Arles in 1991.
